Deleting Your ContaX Account

At ContaX, we respect your privacy and your right to manage your personal information. If you decide to delete your ContaX account, please follow the steps below. Be aware that account deletion is permanent, and you will no longer have access to your profile, contacts, or any shared information.

How to Delete Your ContaX Account:

  1. Log in to Your Account: You must be logged into your ContaX account to initiate the deletion process. If you cannot access your account, please contact our support team for assistance.
  2. Access Account Settings: Once logged in, click on the settings icon Settings Icon in the upper right corner of your profile.
  3. Select "Delete Account": under the Account section, choose the "Delete Your Account" option.
  4. Confirm Deletion: You will be asked to confirm your decision by entering your password. Please review any important information before proceeding, as account deletion is irreversible.
  5. Complete Deletion: After confirmation, your account will be scheduled for deletion. This process may take up to 30 days. During this period, your data will be subject to ContaX’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and will not be accessible to other users.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

  • Permanent Removal: Your profile, contacts, messages, and shared fields will be permanently removed from ContaX.
  • Data Retention: While your account and associated data will be deleted, ContaX may retain certain information if required by law or for legitimate business purposes. This may include data needed to complete transactions, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.
  • Backup Storage: Some data may remain in backup storage for up to 90 days after deletion. This data is securely stored and isolated from further processing until it is permanently deleted.

Exceptions to Deletion

ContaX may retain certain personal data in specific situations, including but not limited to:

  • Compliance with legal obligations or regulatory requirements.
  • Detection and prevention of fraud or illegal activity.
  • Internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with ContaX.
  • Public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research where deletion would impair the achievement of the research.
